He sat within the holy temple, The glow from the radiation proving better than candles. He smirked with self-satisfaction, He had tried to warn those heathens of their coming doom. No one listened, They thought him mad. Now they were suffering for their sins, Running or fighting for their miserable lives. Oh how he wished he could tell them all, "I told you so." The satisfaction of being correct would have been pure ecstasy, To be savored for years to come. Alas, he knew well that this will never happen, It was the end of the world, after all.

Happy Birthday to me!

Good morning everyone!  Today is my b'day and today I am happy to celebrate another year of life. I'd also like to wish my son James a very happy b'day and another deviant, Athenafire, a very happy B'day as well!  Today is a good day to live. I have been blessed with some very deep insight that enlightens what I do. Every person is a gift and has a particular gift to share with the world. Life moves on.

There are some days when I feel as if life is passing me by. One of my sons told me I was in some sort of time warp. I think he's right. Yet some of my very close friends are going through similar feelings of time dragging. I think its when we are going through what some call a 'slow motion crisis'. That's when its time to 'man up' and to do what one can do to make do and more. I know someone who was abandoned by her husband of many years. Through that crisis, she made a beautiful quilt, a set of wedding garments and some beautiful needlework for a 3 panel screen. She has also been writing and helping others through similar situations.
